According to information from the European Commission, Portugal (as well as Greece and Malta) has not transposed Directive 2023/2413 into national legislation, which concerns accelerating the energy transition to renewable sources and developing clean energy in all sectors of the economy.
The strengthened rules introduce measures to promote the expansion of renewables, such as facilitating energy system integration through electrification and renewable hydrogen, and adopting safeguards to ensure more sustainable bioenergy production.

Once again, an attack on Portugal's sovereignty by the EU. I wonder how much longer people will tolerate such tyranny.

The EU Mafia is at it again. Horrible. Patronising and spoon-feeding like we all know it. Be strong, Portugal!
