The Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forests (ICNF) also said that over one million trees have been replanted in the region following the incident.
Fifty people died and about 70 were injured in the fires of October 15 and 16, 2017, which consumed 290,000 hectares of forest and totally or partially destroyed around 1,500 homes and 500 businesses in 38 municipalities.
