"In total, Hurricane Lorenzo caused a loss whose value is approaching 330 million euros in several islands of the Azores, in areas such as port and port support infrastructure, the road network and other public equipment, in housing, fisheries, agriculture and the private business sector," Cordeiro said at a news conference in Ponta Delgada, on the island of São Miguel.
The passage of the hurricane in the Azores archipelago saw the reporting of more than 250 incidents to the emergency services and made it necessary for 53 people to be rehoused.
