According to reports the company alleges a lack of profitability and is to retire the Miradouro train until the necessary economic conditions have been re-established to boost rail tourism.
The Miradouro train was created two years ago using a spacious Swiss train from the 1950s.
And speaking of funds, you couldn't afford to find and publish a photo of the actual train?!

I think that this train did not make enough money due to poor advertising in all hotels and with your agency. The train trip could make money if linked with other tours of Porto. Coimbra and Lisbon to take an attractive tour package with the North wine rejoin tours and other tours. I think the problem is marketing.

The CP should not be responsible for tourist trains . There has to be attractions in regions to encourage tourism , not expect to make money from day one . This is just a continuation of what was done when they changed from narrow gauge , just shut everything down , or when they build motorways with only electronic tolls which tourists will avoid .
