The figures were advanced by the executive president of AHP, Cristina Siza Vieira, during the presentation of the third phase of the survey “Impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the Hotel Industry”, carried out between 15 and 29 May with their associates.
“We have no doubt that for the hotel industry it will be a lost year”, admitted the official.
“It does not mean, however, that there are no reservations and that there is no movement during this summer, but do not be fooled: we will not have anything this summer that will make us think of an effective recovery.” she added.
Many businesses are going to have to radically change , as will the financial and business models after Covid-19 , especially if goals to reduce climate change are to be met . The Covid-19 has changed the tourism sector for at least a decade , and all the actors are going to have to change their ideas and business models
