"The victim appears to be 20 to 30 years old," sources from the District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) in Faro and the PSP told Lusa, who are unaware of which floor he fell from.
The PSP clarified that the victim is a Portuguese citizen and that, due to the circumstances of the death, “the Judiciary Police was called”.
According to the Faro CDOS, 22 operations were supported to the site, supported by nine vehicles, from firefighters of Portimão, PSP and INEM.
Very sad, but no surprise at all. This happens quite often because Portuguese don't seem to use basic HSE equipment at their workplace. No harnesses, no safety goggles, no masks (maybe that will change now), no gloves and so on.
