The PAN wants to know "whether the Ministry of Home Affairs is aware of this" and, if so, "what steps it has taken" and "what steps it intends to take to remedy this problem," according to a press release.

The text justifies requests for clarification with news of the disappearance of 66 minors in the last year and a half, "according to data from SEF, Europol and Frontex".

The PAN indicates that these children arrive at Lisbon Airport on their own and are part of a temporary reception space for seven days in an open regime.

According to the party that elected four deputies in the last legislatures, the children concerned "are not considered as potential victims of trafficking and receive no protection."

"The measures implemented by MAI last year did not solve the problem of child trafficking and possibly contributed to it, since children are now in the open even earlier," said Inês de Sousa Real, parliamentary leader of the party in the text.
