The whole country will remain under a state of contingency until October 14, meaning gatherings continue to be limited to 10 people and commercial establishments must close between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. The government also decided to extend the ban on festivals and similar events until the end of the year.

Judging by the number of patients (and family members) allowed to gather in the waiting room and corridors on my recent visit to IPO Coimbra, the rule obviously does not apply.

SINCERELY, THERE IS NO HONESTY IN THE MEASURES ADOPTED BY THE GOVERNMENT. IT LOOKS LIKE A CHARADE TO ME. WHEN YOU STAY ONE MILE TO PAY YOUR WATER OR ELECTRICITY BILL BUT KISS EACH OTHER WHILE STAYING IN THE BUSES OR TRAINS.
