The game in Saint Étienne will be followed by a trip to Paris to play Austria on 18 June, with the final group game against Hungary in Lyon on 22 June.
England start their campaign against Russia in Marseille on Saturday before they tackle Wales in Lens on16 June.
This is Wales’ first appearance at a major international tournament for 58 years.
Wales made it to the World Cup finals in Sweden in 1958. However, their path to qualification was unusual. Having finished second to Czechoslovakia in their group Wales seemed to have missed out but the politics of the Middle East intervened.
In the Asian/African qualifying zone Egypt and Sudan had refused to play against Israel after the Suez crisis whilst Indonesia had insisted on meeting Israel on neutral ground.
FIFA proclaimed Israel group winners but did not want a team to qualify for the Euro finals without playing a match. Lots were drawn of all the second placed teams with Belgium being drawn out first but they refused to participate.

Underdogs Northern Ireland are full of confidence but face tricky matches against Poland and the Ukraine before meeting World Champions Germany in their final group game.
England’s final warm-up game against Portugal at Wembley was a dour affair with two notable exceptions.
The sending-off of Bruno Alves after half-an-hour was an obvious red card. The Fenerbahce defender’s reckless studs-up, head high challenge on Harry Kane could have done much more damage but thankfully the Spurs striker was able to continue.
Rafa was sacrificed to make way for Southampton defender José Fonte as the visitors, who have never beaten England in their own backyard, shut-up shop.
The second moment of note was when Smalling headed past Rui Patrício five minutes from time to seal victory. Only Kyle Walker distinguished himself for England although Sterling provided a lively cameo off the bench.
Portugal will be concerned about their attacking frailties given that they rely so heavily on Cristiano Ronaldo.
Similar to Ronaldo, Nani and Rafa like to attack by cutting in from the wings. However, unlike the Real Madrid player, neither of them feels comfortable mixing it up with defenders in or around the box.
If England and Portugal win their respective groups and taste victory in the round of sixteen, they will meet in the quarter-finals in Lille on 1 July.
In related news, it was this week confirmed that the Portuguese national football team will be receiving additional protection at the European championships, which kicks off this weekend.
The decision was made due to the status of Cristiano Ronaldo and the potential interest he might attract.
Six PSP and two GNR police officers will also be travelling with the national Portuguese team and have been given the necessary powers to shoot on sight in the event of a threat
