Taxi drivers are planning to hold a protest later today at parliament where a plenary debate will be held in the presence of the Prime Minister António Costa.

In the country’s second biggest city, Porto, over 200 taxi drivers slept in their vehicles overnight on one of the main avenues.

Taxi drivers have been protesting against the new law, which is due to come into force in November.
