The 30-year-old entered the bridge in Almada and wanted to head to north but inexplicably managed to end up on the wrong side, driving the entire length of the bridge into what would have been oncoming traffic.

She was intercepted by PSP officers eight kilometres later near Sete Rios in Lisbon.
