Half a million people failed to reply to Covid texts

Over half a million people have so far failed to reply to the texts sent out to book their Covid jab since vaccinations began five months ago.

Almost 27% of the two million SMS texts sent went unanswered. Last week, a third of the expected people failed to show up at the eight vaccination centres in Lisbon.

Of those who did answer, most people (71%) said yes, and a tiny portion (around 2%) responded with no, according to the latest figures from the task force managing the vaccination plan.

The problem is if you changed your number
It is very difficult for the app to change the number. I am a 69 your old and from requesting SNS number to changing number for app it has been a three month nightmare. I am being denied medical treatment in a EU country. I wish there was a EU ombudsman to file a complaint against portugal.

I am not working and cant get an SNS number.... crazy... I am with you on this, its a scandal and actually I am contemplating leaving the country for it. On the the DGS site there is a possibility to register for vaccination if you dont have a number, but its complete nonsense as you dont get an email conformation and I am born in 65 and still have not received anything. I have BUPA international so dont need to use the state system but in this case I have no choice... pretty unimpressive , below you find the link that was announced with a lot of pooh... and obviously is a scam
