The Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, João Paulo Rebelo, congratulated the Portuguese futsal team, stressing that "Portugal is the best team in the world".

"What else to expect from a National Team? First Europe and now the world! Portugal is the best futsal team in the world! Congratulations @FPF_Futebol and all futsal lovers!", João Paulo Rebelo wrote on Twitter.

Also in a message, on the same social network, the Minister of Education highlighted "the fantastic championship" made by the Portuguese team.

"Portugal in the highest in the World of #Futsal. What a fantastic championship of this extraordinary @selecaoportugal. Huge emotion, great joy! Today Portugal celebrates loudly! Congratulations to the players, technical team and @FPF_Futebol", wrote the office of Tiago Brandão Rodrigues.

Portugal, whose previous best result ever in the competition was third place in 2000, in Guatemala, has become the fourth country to lift the trophy, after Brazil, Spain and Argentina, adding their world title to their European title which they won, also for the first time, in Slovenia in 2018.
