The districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Vila Real will be under a yellow warning due to the rain forecast between 12:00 and 18:00 today and Viseu, Coimbra and Aveiro between 14:00 and 20:00.
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) also placed the districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Aveiro and Coimbra under a yellow warning due to strong maritime agitation, with waves of between 4 and 5 metres, between 21: 00 today and 03:00 on Wednesday.
The warnings regarding maritime agitation will turn orange in the districts of Porto, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga and extend to Setúbal, Lisbon, Leiria between 00:00 on Wednesday and 12:00 on Thursday.
The IPMA also issued a yellow warning for today and for the districts of Guarda and Castelo Branco due to snowfall with accumulation on the ground above 1,300/1,400 metres of altitude (snow showers above 1000/1200 metres of altitude) between 9:00 pm today and 12:00 pm on Wednesday.
Also Vila Real will be under a yellow warning between 00:00 and 09:00 on Wednesday due to snowfall.
