“The incident will require work to ensure the cleaning and airing of the space, in order to meet all the conditions to receive visitors, shopkeepers and other employees”, said the administration of Centro Colombo.
The administration added that, at the moment, “measures are being taken to allow the entry of employees to close the stores and remove the vehicles that are in the parking lot of the building”.
“The Administration of Centro Colombo informs that the Center will resume its normal operation on Monday, June 27th”, indicated the note, confirming the existence of some minor injuries.
Contacted by Lusa, a source from the Lisbon Fire Brigade Regiment, said that the fire in Colombo had led to three minor injuries, two of them due to smoke inhalation.
The three injured were transported to the Hospital de Santa Maria, in Lisbon.
According to a source from the administration of Centro Comercial Colombo, the fire broke out, at 1:30 pm, in an electricity transformation station located on a loading and unloading pier.
The same source added that, “on the advice of the authorities, as a preventive measure, electricity and gas services were cut, which is why the building had to be evacuated”.
