Travel and tourism is the service most exported by Portugal, according to data compiled and published by Pordata.

The country to which Portugal sells the most services is the United Kingdom (€7 billion).
"The most exported type of service is travel and tourism, representing almost half of service exports, with a total value of more than 21 billion euros", states a publication by Pordata, shared on Facebook.
As for importing services, the country we buy the most from is Spain.

There's an obvious urgency to diversify commercial partners with a important decline on tourism weight wich is the sector less desired of any advanced or developed economy. As often, our decision makers are in a coma.

Only developing countries boast about tourism being their best service. Regrettably Portugal continues backwards, primitive and stuck in the past, while ignoring the need to educate its population and give them the opportunity of a real European life.
