"The construction project for the new store included the expansion of one of the main avenues in the municipality, where it is located, and adjacent interventions to improve the public road and landscape harmonisation, with the creation of cycle paths, sidewalks and a roundabout".

The supermarket group currently has 17 stores in the Setúbal district.

"We've been wanting to open a store in Montijo for a long time, close to residential areas, which could serve the local population comfortably and within walking distance, as the closest stores are located in Alcochete and Moita", says João Braz Teixeira, Aldi's Managing Director Expansion and Construction, cited in the same note.

The person in charge also indicates that "this was a great project", since "it involved the improvement and creation of several relevant infrastructures for the municipality, for the benefit of Montijenses".
