Lisbon: The high temperatures of earlier in the week are to fall from 31 degrees on Friday down to highs of 25 degrees by Sunday in the capital, when cloud cover will also increase. On Monday there will be a high chance of rain but cloud cover is to decrease by Tuesday with temperatures on the rise by Thursday.

The north: The weekend is to be cooler than the highs of 30 degrees seen on Friday with temperatures peaking at 28 degrees on Saturday and then falling to highs of 25 degrees on Sunday when a mixture of sunshine and showers is on the cards. The rest of the week is to be very similar with sunny spells and rain.

The centre: The hot weather is to continue on Saturday when hazy high cloud and maximums of 32 degrees are expected. On Sunday temperatures are to drop down slightly to highs of 27 degrees. From Monday cloud cover is to increase, as will the chance of rain and temperatures are to fall to highs of 26 degrees.

The south: High temperatures and hazy cloud are forecast to continue over the weekend with temperatures peaking at highs of 32 degrees on Saturday and 30 degrees on Sunday. From Monday it will be feeling a little cooler as cloud cover increases but the thermometers will be on the rise again from Thursday.

Madeira: Intermittent sunshine and cloud is expected over the weekend when temperatures are to reach highs of 26 degrees, with lows of 19 degrees. The chance of rain is to increase from Monday but temperatures are to remain warm and mild.

The Azores: A wet weekend is on the cards in the Azores with the heaviest showers forecast for Sunday when temperatures are to reach highs of 22 degrees, with lows of 17 degrees. On Monday it is to be mainly dry but rain is to return on Tuesday.
