In the kitchen, there is a real old Italian chef!
It is not a through road, but with navigation, it is easy to find. La Vita Belle has been around for 18 years. The name of the restaurant reminds me of one of the most gripping films I have ever seen, the Oscar-winning film La vita est belle. The film is about an Italian father and his infant son, who are deported to a German concentration camp. To reassure the child, his father pretends the journey is a game, with which you can win prizes.... Goosebumps!
You can park right in front of La Belle Vita. You can eat in the restaurant or in the conservatory, where you overlook the pool and have a little sea view!
For the kids, there is a nice playground, which Elyas was very happy with. He was less happy with the fact that there was no wifi. "Every restaurant must have wifi, right?" says Elyas (7).
The tables are nicely set with linen and glasses. The decor is neat, but two types of chairs are used interchangeably and there is something lacking in cosiness, as you have at Italian restaurant Limoni in Almancil, for example.
The service in La Belle Vita is friendly and professional, and they have been working there since the beginning. In the kitchen there is a real old Italian chef!
The menu is extensive. Besides salads (12 euro), pasta (12.80) and pizza (9 euro) they also offer fish (22.50) and meat (35.50) dishes
We start with delicious Italian bread, for Elyas there is gluten-free bread. great!
This is followed by an amuse-bouche of delicious marinated mushrooms. yummy!
Next, Elyas has a salad with tomato and onion, and I, off the menu, a fantastic potato soup with truffle! Highly recommended!
For the main course, Elyas has a delicious gluten-free spaghetti with a tasty tomato sauce.
I have a simple but delicious spaghetti Aglio e Olia d' Oliva, so with olive oil and lots of garlic.
For dessert, we have a fruit platter with delicious tangerine sorbet ice cream.

I find this article very condescending regarding the age of the chef. Who cares as long as the food is good! Comparing with Limoni is ridiculous. We have eaten at Bella Vita several times and the food is to a very high standard.
