“Having initially chosen cardiology, dermatology, oncology, rehabilitation, plastic surgery, otorhinolaryngology and orthopaedics as areas of commitment, now it is time for dentistry to join the platform”, says the Order of Dentists led by Miguel Pavão.
According to ECO, interested dental clinics can join the project “until the end of 2023”.
In a statement, the Order of Dentists also highlights that "Portugal has a wide network of clinics and qualified professionals" in this area who are "recognised for the standards of their practice", which provides patients with “high-quality treatments with the most advanced technological and scientific standards”.
My experience is that Portuguese dentists are as expensive as those in Germany or Austria charging 600 to 900 EUR for a crown (all in). That might be cheap for US citizens, but I find it very expensive.
