"[...] Beekeepers must proceed with the annual declaration of stocks from 01 to 30 September 2023", reads a public notice from the DGAV.

Among the information to be presented are the approximate geographical coordinates of the apiaries.

On the other hand, the registration number of the beekeeper must be placed in a "very visible" place in the apiaries.

If they do not submit the declaration of stocks, beekeepers are subject to a fine, which varies between 100 euros and 3,740 euros for individuals and 44,890 euros for businesses.
