German chancellor Olaf Scholz has fallen on his face during a routine jog and suffered minor injuries consisting of some scratches around his right eye.

On Monday, he posted a photo on his official X account of him with an eyepatch, clarifying that “it looks worse than it is” and adding he’s “excited to see the memes.” He’s said to be in good form and will attend his scheduled appointments this week.
