In addition to the debut in Portugal of these “two international giants of European rockabilly”, the third Festival will also feature Ruby Ann from Coimbra and T. Perry and the Bombers from Porto.

In a press release sent to the Lusa agency, the Coimbra theater company explained that it is a festival organized by Boppin’ Coimbra – Associação Cultural, which promises to bring “great entertainment to the Oficina Municipal do Teatro” (OMT).

“In addition to the concerts, there will be rock & roll and rockabilly DJ sets by Boppin’ Sandro, Filipe Ribeiro, Victor Torpedo (The Parkinsons, Tédio Boys, Victor Torpedo & The Pop Kids, among others) and the North American DJ James. Between 20:00 and 04:00 on both days, the music will occupy both the Tabacaria and the OMT Large Room”.

According to Teatrão, in parallel with the main event, there will also be two parties at the Pinga Amor bar, on Thursday and Sunday nights.

On Saturday, the OMT car park “turns into a retro car show from the 50s and 60s” and will be accompanied by music from the organisation's DJ.

Boppin' Coimbra – Associação Cultural is the result of the culmination of two years of projects developed by a group of friends, lovers of 1950s culture, with the aim of “closing the shortage of cultural and musical offerings, particularly in the rock/rockabilly genre and Americana Roots Music, in the city of Coimbra and throughout the central area”.

Founded in February this year, Boppin’ Coimbra seeks to “captivate not only music lovers to its own events, but also those who like to travel and discover new places”.
