Contacted by the Lusa agency, the source from the Alto Minho Public Health Unit said that the last two patients to be identified on Tuesday aged 74 and 96, were still being evaluated today, at around 11:34, in the emergency department of Santa Luzia hospital, in Viana do Castelo.

The two men live in Moledo, in the municipality of Caminha.

The same source said that patients with legionella identified since Friday reside between Caminha and Vila Praia de Âncora.

The Public Health source added that of the total number of patients identified, five were admitted to the Santa Luzia hospital: a 60-year-old woman in intensive care and four in intermediate care.

One of the eight patients, an 86-year-old man, bedridden, was discharged on Monday from São João Hospital, in Porto.

Authorities continue to investigate the origin of the infection.
