Food inflation in the Netherlands remains high, however, it seems to be slowing.

In October food prices were 8.7 percent higher and in September 10 percent. Taking energy prices into account, inflation is 1.6 percent, says the CBS. This is up in October when the consumer price index showed prices fell by -0.4 percent in the last year.
