Ikea claimed that their Rathcoole, South Dublin, facility, which employs more than 200 people, is twice as large as Croke Park.

Irish consumers' home delivery orders will no longer need to be shipped from the UK thanks to the Dublin distribution hub, cutting delivery times to three days.

Along with the opening of the new location, Ikea also declared that all orders for home delivery in Dublin will be delivered by zero-emission cars starting on Wednesday.

By August 2025, the business further promises that these trucks will deliver all Irish orders.

According to Jakob Bertilsson, the country customer fulfilment manager for Ikea, the distribution hub would offer "faster and more reliable" deliveries for Irish consumers, along with reduced lead times and increased product availability.
