During the talk, Recheio will present some of its projects, including Best Farmer and Seaculture, units of the Jerónimo Martins Group that produce meat and fish in offshore aquaculture in a sustainable way. The initiative will take place at the Recheio shop in Faro, on May 14, at 11.30am.

“The times in which we live demand that all stakeholders reflect on sustainability. Recheio has five shops in the Algarve, covering the entire region from Barlavento to Sotavento and due to our close relationship with our customers, we are aware of the impact sustainability issues have on their business. That’s why we decided to hold this talk in the Algarve, to share some of our projects and to try to ensure that, by working together, some of these impacts on our customer’s businesses are mitigated”, explained Vanessa Silva, Recheio’s Marketing Director.

The talk will cover Sustainable Production, with André Duarte, Commercial Director of Jerónimo Martins’ Fresh Produce, Best Farmer, with Luisa Silva, Sales Manager, and Seaculutre, with Pedro Encarnação, Executive Director of Aquaculture. The initiative will also include the participation of Algarve chefs Leonel Pereira and João Marreiros, who recently won the sustainability award from the Boa Cama Boa Mesa guide. After the talk, there will be a show cooking session with Recheio products from the Best Farmer and Seaculture brands, which will be prepared by Recheio chefs, and a regional wine tasting.

Recheio considers sustainability as one of the pillars of their brand and in recent years they have been working to establish supply chains that promote more sustainable production and consumption practices. As well as investing in renovating its shops, optimising water and energy consumption, and waste management.
