The boats were “in an irregular situation due to the lack of inspection and license to carry out the maritime-tourist activity, and were seized as a precautionary measure”, says the National Maritime Authority.
The owners of the vessels have been notified and will only be able to resume maritime tourism activities after the situation has been regularised.
Three members of the local command of the Olhão Maritime Police were involved in this action, supported by a vessel, and four inspectors from ASAE.
