In a statement sent to the press, the SATA group airline that operates international flights explains that these new routes come in addition to the one that the carrier already operated last year which connects Madeira to New York.

“These two direct operations represent the culmination of consistent work, in line with our partners in the United States, Canada, and the Madeira Archipelago, which allowed us to once again expand the offer to this Archipelago with these direct flights, which add to the operation from New York and flights between the Azores to Madeira Island, which Azores Airlines has provided over the years”, highlights Graça Silva, director of Sales, Marketing, and Communication at Grupo SATA.

Both operations have one flight per week, with departures to Toronto taking place on Fridays, while the return to Madeira takes place on Saturdays, and in the case of Boston, departures from this US city take place on Tuesdays, returning on Wednesdays.

“In addition to these direct connections, there are seven weekly connections, either departing from Boston or Toronto, via Ponta Delgada, which passengers who wish to travel from North America to Madeira Island and vice versa can also benefit from”.
