France 1-0 Austria

Kylian Mbappe’s cross deflected off Leeds United’s Max Wöber in the 38th minute to give the French the victory over a very impressive Austria side, managed by former Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick.

Romania 3-0 Ukraine

Romania were outstanding in their 3-0 victory over Ukraine. Nicolae Stanciu’s first-half strike gave his side the lead. Ravzan Marin and Denis Dragus also scored for Edward Iordanescu’s side.

Belgium 0-1 Slovakia

Belgium were stunned at the Frankfurt Arena, as an early Ivan Schranz goal would give Slovakia a shock victory over Domenico Tedesco's men.

Turkey 3-1 Georgia

Real Madrid and Turkey midfielder Arda Guler stole the show at the BVB Stadion Dortmund. With the match at 1-1, Guler scored a spectacular goal from outside the box to give Turkey the lead. The game was arguably the best game of the tournament so far.

Portugal 2-1 Czech Republic

Portugal were dominant in their victory over the Czech Republic. However, it would be Lukas Provod for the Czech Republic who scored the opening goal of the game in the second half. After equalising from an own goal, Portugal won the game as substitutes Pedro Neto and Francisco Conceição linked up in added time to give the Seleção the 2-1 win.

Matchday Two of Euro 2024 kicks off on Wednesday as Croatia take on Albania in Group B at 2pm. Germany could qualify for the knockout stages with a win against Hungary at 5pm. The days action concludes in Cologne as Scotland face Switzerland at 8pm.

Slovenia and Serbia will open proceedings at 2pm on Thursday before England face Denmark at the Frankfurt Arena at 5pm. In Group B, Spain will take on defending champions Italy at the AufSchalke Arena at 8pm.
