Manik Saha, Chief Minister of the Indian state of Tripura, surprised Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina earlier this week with a gift of 500kg of the region’s famous queen pineapple, which is cultivated by over 4000 growers.

In turn, PM Hasina has reciprocated with a gift of her own: 400kg of Bangladesh’s famous Haribhanga mangoes, 50kg of Hilsa fish, and 50kg of roshogolla, a type of sweet.
