The reptile was found hiding under a car, on 24 July.

The alert to the snake's presence was given by locals, according to a post made on the social network Facebook by IRA - Animal Intervention and Rescue Unit. An IRA team went to the location, and the PSP was informed of the situation.

The snake was later rescued "with the help of the vehicle owner", as can be seen in a video released by the IRA. The reptile was "safe" and did not suffer "any injuries".

"The animal was later released into its natural habitat, posing no danger to people", said the IRA, which also asked anyone who comes across these animals: "Do not harm them".
