With a value of €247,489.42 (+VAT) and a six-month execution period, the project being carried out in the town of Ferragudo will be completed in the first quarter of next year, as will phase IV of the project to requalify the lighting network that is being carried out in the Union of Parishes of Estômbar and Parchal, more specifically in the Pateiro and Mexilhoeira da Carregação areas, whose contract value is €319,380.20 (+VAT).

Phase V of the network in the city of Lagoa is almost complete, costing €148,593.44.

These three projects resulted in a total investment of 716 thousand euros, which, added to the 800,000 euros invested in 2023, exceeded 1.5 million euros.

A major investment in the municipality's environmental policy, which has already had a return on energy costs, allowing savings of over 1 million euros. Lower energy consumption thus translates into environmental and economic gains.

Despite having little visibility, this is one of the major investments that the Municipality of Lagoa has underway and one of the greatest contributions to meeting environmental targets. More sustainable municipalities are the guarantors of the planet's protection.

The initial project involves replacing traditional lighting with LED technology throughout the municipality and has been developed in phases over the last few years.

In 2023, phase III of the project was completed, covering interventions in the lighting networks of the towns of Porches, Ferragudo, and Estômbar that began in 2021 and 2022, the year in which phase IV of Lagoa was also carried out.
