American singer Taylor Swift, who has been a repeat winner of these awards, leads the nominations for the second year running.

The artist, who performed in Portugal this year and broke world records with her 'Eras' tour, has seven nominations, including in the categories of 'Best Artist', 'Best Pop Artist' and 'Best Video', for the song 'Fortnight', which features Post Malone.

Artists Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Charli xcx and Sabrina Carpenter have five nominations each, according to the television station.

Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, Raye and musician Post Malone are nominated for the 'Best Artist' award.

Brazilian artist Anitta has three nominations, for 'Best Latin Artist', for the 'Biggest Fans' award and for 'Best Collaboration', with Mexican musician Peso Featherweight for 'Bellakeo'.

The ceremony is scheduled for November 10 in Manchester, United Kingdom, and will be broadcast on MTV in more than 150 countries, including Portugal.
