The districts of Viseu, Porto, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro and Braga will be under a yellow warning between 6am on Sunday and 12am on Monday, and Lisbon, Setúbal, Leiria and Coimbra between 6am and 12pm on Sunday.
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) also issued a yellow warning for the districts of Viseu, Porto, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro and Braga due to strong winds, with gusts of up to 90 kilometres per hour, between 06:00 and 9:00 on Sunday.
The districts of Guarda and Castelo Branco will also be under yellow warning due to snowfall above 1,200 meters, between midnight and 11 am on Monday.
The IPMA also placed the districts of Porto, Faro, Setúbal, Viana do Castelo, Lisbon, Leiria, Beja, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga under yellow warning between 6am on Sunday and 11am on Monday due to sea unrest, with a forecast of southwest waves of 4 to 5 meters, changing to northwest waves on Monday.
The south coast and mountainous regions of Madeira are also under yellow warning over the weekend, due to persistent and sometimes heavy rainfall.
The yellow warning will be in effect between 9pm on Saturday and 3am on Sunday.
