National holidays (mandatory)

January 1: New Year's Day is celebrated on a Wednesday.

April 18: Good Friday is the first long weekend of the year.

April 20: Easter Sunday.

April 25th: Freedom Day or the Carnation Revolution will be another opportunity for you to enjoy a long weekend.

May 1st: Labour Day will fall on a Thursday.

June 10: Portugal, Camões and Portuguese Communities Day.

June 19: Corpus Christi.

August 15th: The day of the Assumption of Our Lady is celebrated.

October 5th: Republic Day will fall on a Sunday.

November 1st: All Saints' Day, falls on Saturday.

December 1st: is Independence Restoration Day and will take place on a Monday.

December 8: The day of the Immaculate Conception is also celebrated on a Monday.

December 25th: Christmas Day.

Optional holiday

March 4th: Carnival Tuesday is not considered an official holiday and is therefore optional.
