‘Albufeira all year round!’ is the name of the campaign that the Municipality has presented, which highlights the tourist offer that can be experienced in every season of the year in the municipality.
To attract the attention of tourists, several themes have been created, about which videos will be published in the media and on social networks, as well as graphic images on billboards and mupis about the potential of Albufeira.
Launched nationwide, the campaign will promote the Municipal Market with its typical sweets, wine tourism, and gastronomy, with a focus on the famous Guia chicken, the Albufeira Marina which includes a wide range of maritime-tourism companies, heritage, unique musical and cultural entertainment, beaches with lifeguards all year round and sporting events.
On its Facebook page, Albufeira City Council has already published the first video of a set of eight, produced as part of the campaign presented this Wednesday, with the aim of showing the best that Albufeira has to offer tourists and visitors to our municipality.
José Carlos Rolo, president of the local authority, said in the presentation that the campaign will reinforce the idea that Albufeira "regardless of whether it is summer or winter, has something to offer all year round", however, he regretted that often the information given to the public about crime does not reflect reality.
"The problem is not in the data, these are well calculated and we trust the National Institute of Statistics, what I question is the way these data are treated", says the mayor, referring to the fact that "at various times in the months of July and August, the municipality has around 500 thousand people, with the crime rate being based on the number of residents, instead of dividing by 500 thousand people, the rate only affects the 44 thousand who live here", he argued.
