Households in six districts across Bangkok will soon be eligible for a discount on their rubbish collection fee if they sort their food scraps from general waste prior to disposal.

This discount comes as an incentive to promote food waste sorting among residents, as rubbish collection fees are set to increase in October.
From 21 April, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will begin collecting food waste in the Bang Phlat, Bang Kho Laem, Lat Phrao, Phaya Thia, Thon Buri, and Lat Krabang districtis.
