Her comments follow recent threats from the US that Portugal could face repercussions if it does not take action against Chinese companies like Huawei. US ambassador to Portugal George Glass said earlier that Portugal “has to choose between its allies and the Chinese.”

If you read the article with sober glasses, you will realise it's only written to support Huawei. No self respecting country will let 5G infrastructure be at risk of Chinese control. 5G is totally different from previous technologies in that all new automatisation gadgetry will be built on top of it.
There is a reason why the US sacrificed so much to ban Huawei completely from their grounds. This is no joke
