According to a report by ECO, prices of Brent are on their way to closing the week up again, which will naturally result in an increase in fuel prices that will weigh more heavily on the pockets of the Portuguese. Thus, a litre of diesel should rise by 3.5 cents and a litre of petrol by three cents.

This is a reversal of the trend compared to previous weeks, in which diesel has fallen, reflecting lower demand as the rise in temperatures in Europe eliminates the use of diesel for heating, and petrol has risen. US gasoline imports have pushed prices higher in anticipation of the driving season that is expected to begin next week.
