The announcement was made by José Luis Carneiro after a meeting at the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), in Carnaxide, Oeiras.

According to the minister, this decision took into account the drop in average low temperatures and the increase in humidity between 10% and 20%.

José Luís Carneiro explained that from now on the restrictions will have a regional character and in accordance with the classification of rural fire danger.

On Sunday, added the minister, the situation will be evaluated again and it will be decided whether to maintain or change the decision.
