The municipalities of São Brás de Alportel, Tavira and Castro Marim, in the district of Faro, are today at a very high risk of fire, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).

The IPMA has also placed the municipalities of Lagos, Portimão, Monchique, Silves, Loulé, Alcoutim (Faro) and Almodôvar (Beja) at high risk of fire.
The rest of the country is at moderate or reduced danger, but an increase is expected from Tuesday.
Today minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 8 degrees Celsius (in Bragança) and 16 (in Faro) and the maximum between 19 (in Guarda) and 28 (in Santarém).
