The tourist accommodation sector registered 2.7 million guests in April, 16.5% more than in the same month of 2022, and 6.8 million overnight stays, an increase of 13.8 %.

According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), these indicators corresponded to 497.1 million euros in total income and 373.6 million euros in income from accommodation, which represents year-on-year growth of 28.6% and 29.4%, respectively.
Comparing with April 2019, the pre-pandemic period, there were increases of 48.4% in total revenue and 50.0% in revenue from accommodation.
