The Azorean executive justifies the “adjustment of the maximum public sale price” of fuels with “recent variations in the international market in reference prices for petroleum and energy products”.

After a rise of 1.2 cents in August, the price of petrol rose again in the archipelago in September, costing 1.584 cents per litre (4.9 cents more).

The price of diesel in the region is set at 1.445 euros per litre, which is equivalent to an increase of 9.1 cents compared to August, a month in which there had already been an increase of 2.9 cents.

The maximum prices of petroleum and energy products in the Azores are changed on the 1 of each month in amounts equivalent to the variation in the value of the monthly Europe Price (PE).
