According to analysis by the travel agency eDreams, the artist's arrival in Europe triggered a surge in searches for flights to the cities that will feature the Eras tour. But, even though there is a "very significant increase" in most cities, Lisbon fell short of expectations.
Despite "the usual tendency of travellers to confirm reservations one to two months before the trip", the agency highlighted that it had registered "a significant increase in interest in travelling during the tour period", reported Notícias ao Minute.
According to the company's analysis, demand for flights for the period from May 17th to 19th, when the artist is expected to perform in Stockholm, increased six times compared to the same period in 2022 (+473%). At the top of the table are Warsaw (+339%), Edinburgh (+176%), Liverpool (+133%) and Paris (+108%), although increases in Zurich (+76%), Lyon (+ 67%), Milan (+57%) and Amsterdam (+50%) also stand out.
With two dates, "Lisbon is one of the stops on the tour that has seen a smaller increase in demand (+5% vs 2022), probably because it is also one of Taylor Swift's concerts with the most limited capacity."
eDreams also pointed out that the travellers who most look for Lisbon during the concert period come from the United Kingdom, Spain, the United States and France.
But, according to the same source, "Americans are the ones who most seek trips that coincide with the dates and locations of concerts in Europe – something that has not happened in other years, and demonstrates their interest in the European tour, possibly due to the fact many fans were unable to attend the concerts" in their own country.
Taylor Swift will make her debut in Portugal on May 24th and 25th, at Estádio da Luz, accompanied by the band Paramore.
