In a press release, the Local Health Unit of the Leiria Region (ULS RL) said that the construction of the area, in Park 3 of the hospital unit, will prohibit the use of this park until the completion of the work, scheduled for February 2025.

Quoted in the same note, the president of the board of directors of ULS RL, Licínio de Carvalho, declared that “the new parking area will allow the creation of approximately 200 parking spaces, which increases its capacity and improves access for users and professionals to Santo André Hospital”.

“Currently, park 3 has around 370 spaces and, after the planned intervention, it will have more than 560 spaces”, said Licínio de Carvalho, explaining that the hospital “will now have 1,117 parking spaces available for patients and professionals”.
