The municipality of Alijó, in the district of Vila Real, announced that Sons do Parque, a free festival, “celebrates musical diversity” by bringing artists from different musical genres and countries to the region.

The 2024 lineup includes Expresso Transatlântico (Portugal), Steffan Morrison (Netherlands), Sven Hammond (Netherlands), The Twin Souls (France), Noa & The Hell Drinkers (Spain) and Biblioteka (United States of America).

The journey across the stage of the Douro festival will cross different musical genres, from soul, blues, funk, jazz, rock & roll, punk, grunge, and garage, without neglecting Portuguese music.

The organization, which brings together the municipality and the Parish Council of Alijó, highlighted the participation of Expresso Transatlântico, a group that makes “the Portuguese guitar being the main character of its themes, full of influences from Portuguese tradition and contemporary global sounds”.

The six concerts take place in Parque da Vila, an extensive green area with a natural amphitheater, in the centre of Alijó.
