According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), the yellow warning will be in force between 09:00 and 21:00.

The yellow warning is issued by the IPMA whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities dependent on the meteorological situation.

The IPMA also predicts generally partly cloudy skies on the mainland, with increasing cloudiness in the far north, strong winds on the west coast and in the highlands, and a small rise in maximum temperatures, except in the north.

Minimum temperatures will range between 11 degrees Celsius (in Viana do Castelo, Vila Real, Bragança, Guarda, Coimbra, and Leiria) and 20 (in Castelo Branco), and maximum temperatures between 22 (in Aveiro) and 34 (in Évora).
