In a statement, the security force informs that, following a special crime prevention operation, police actions were carried out focused on preventing crime and reinforcing the visibility of the GNR among the population.
According to the note, these actions included searches in public spaces and vehicles, in addition to personal searches, with the aim of preventing the occurrence of various crimes.
The operation also aimed to curb illicit activities, notably drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons, thus contributing to strengthening the population's sense of security.
During this special operation, several people were approached and inspected, culminating in the arrest of five individuals for the crime of drug trafficking and the notification of eight citizens to appear before the Commission for the Dissuasion of Chemical Dependency, according to the statement.
During the operation, 56 doses of hashish, 52 of heroin and 18 of cocaine were seized.
The GNR adds that it prepared eight administrative offense reports for various irregularities in food and beverage establishments, as well as 13 administrative offense reports in the road sector.
The GNR emphasises that by carrying out these operations it intends to combat crime and strengthen the population's sense of security, seeking to prevent criminal offenses.
