The IPMA has also placed more than 50 municipalities in the districts of Bragança, Castelo Branco, Santarém, Leiria, Lisbon, Setúbal, Évora, Beja and Faro at high risk.
Almost all of the rest of mainland Portugal is in moderate danger of fire, with the exception of some municipalities on the north coast and in the interior of the districts of Viana do Castelo, Porto, Vila Real, Coimbra and Leiria, as well as the municipality of Vila do Bispo, in the district of Faro, which presents a reduced danger.
The fire hazard, determined by the IPMA, has five levels, ranging from reduced to maximum. Calculations are obtained from air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and the amount of precipitation in the last 24 hours.
For today, the IPMA predicts clear or slightly cloudy skies, with periods of greater cloudiness due to high clouds in the North, starting in the afternoon, and sometimes strong wind in the highlands.
A slight decrease in the minimum temperature is also foreseen, especially in the interior North and Center regions, and a small increase in the maximum temperature in the Center and South regions.
As for temperatures, the minimum will vary between 0 degrees Celsius (Bragança) and 14ºC (Sines) and the maximum between 18ºC (Guarda) and 30ºC (Setúbal).
